Of all the states in the United States of America, Texas is the second largest. - Space Center Houston. This is one of the most well-known tourist spot in Texas and it also houses the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center and Mission Control under NASA. Travelling from Houston, the space center is only 30 minutes away by car. From here, one will be able to learn about the largest space program in the globe and how it is managed. - The Alamo. In terms of history, this is one of the most important in the United States because this is where the famous cry of Alamo happened. It was during the Texan War of Independence when 3,000 soldiers from the American army attacked the small Texan force. Record shows that every year there are over 2.5 million people that visit the landmark to get a glimpse of the restored buildings as well as the cenotaph that is constructed in honor of the fallen heroes.
